Girls on the Green ("Girls on the Green," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website located at girlsonthegreentahoe.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit the Site, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Newsletter sign-up. If you sign up for email updates through one of the "Sign me up" forms on the Site, we collect the email address you enter. We use it to send you information about upcoming Girls on the Green events, new partner perks, and similar club updates.
Direct contact. If you email us at girlsonthegreentahoe@gmail.com — for example, about an event, a partnership inquiry, or a general question — we receive whatever information you choose to include in that message, such as your name and email address.
We do not collect payment information, physical addresses, or phone numbers through the Site. Event registration and ticket payment take place on Eventbrite's platform, not on this Site — see "Third-Party Services" below.
When you visit the Site, some technical information is collected automatically, such as browser and device type, an approximate (non-precise) location inferred from your IP address, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the Site. We collect this through Google Analytics, described next.
The Site uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site, including which pages are viewed and whether visitors click through to RSVP for an event on Eventbrite or sign up for our newsletter. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this, and only runs on the live production site, not on staging or development versions of the Site.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser opt-out add-on. We do not currently use a cookie-consent banner on the Site.
We do not sell your personal information.
We work with a small number of outside services to run the Site and the club:
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only as described in this Policy — for example, with the service providers listed above so they can perform their function (sending emails, hosting the Site, or measuring traffic) — or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, respond to a legal request, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Girls on the Green, our members, or others.
We take reasonable steps to help protect the information submitted through the Site. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Site links to third-party websites and services we don't operate, including Eventbrite, Instagram, and the businesses listed on our Partners page. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third-party sites, and we encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at girlsonthegreentahoe@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
If you are a California resident, you may contact us using the information below to ask what personal information we have collected about you through the Site and to request that we correct or delete it, and we will respond to reasonable requests to the extent required by applicable law.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Site or our practices. If we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to check back periodically.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, please contact us at girlsonthegreentahoe@gmail.com.
